Jody Dobson Awarded the “ISPA Gem Award” By the Independent Small Programs Alliance (ISPA)
On April 30, 2009, Educational Consultant and Independent Educational Consultant Association (IECA) Member Jody Dobson M.A., of Philadelphia, PA became only the second professional in four (4) years to receive the prestigious “ISPA Gem Award” for excellence in professional service to Special Needs Families.
The criteria for the Gem Award are; “The ISPA Gem Award will be awarded for selfless service, professionalism, leadership and compassion by a Professional. In this instance Jody Dobson stands alone as an individual living that criteria.
Andy Anderson, ISPA President, presented the award during the ISPA Dinner and Business Meeting in San Francisco, CA. Anderson noted, “Jody Dobson is a person of great intellect, sensitivity and compassion. He is a great professional, but an even greater person/human being. He is and has been a friend to ISPA, a friend to me and most importantly a friend to the families we serve.”
When asked to say a few words Dobson could only humbly ask – “Why me?” The answer was evident to the 50 plus professionals attending the invitation only dinner.
Jody Dobson has been a supporter and volunteer advisor to ISPA since its inception in 2005. He has served and assisted hundreds of families and their children find solace in their lives and realignment in their educational goals. He is a gentleman, a refined man with a quiet but evident sense of style.
Jody Dobson is a leader in the Private Pay Educational world. He has shown this by his work in IECA and the IECA Foundation. Jody Dobson is a “Gem” among the thousands of professionals working to help families. Congratulations to a most deserving person, Joseph P. (Jody) Dobson.
